In reality, I don't just want to be more fit than most 50+ year old women, frankly, I would like to be more fit than most 30 year olds. And I am. You can be, too, which is why I write what I do here.

It can be tough to stay motivated when you're just starting out or when you hit a plateau, but if you can envision the version of yourself that you're striving towards, it becomes easier to make the right choices.So today, think about what that ideal version of yourself looks like. What habits do they have? What choices do they make? Then, start acting like that person. Even if it's just for a few minutes a day, or in small ways, those actions will add up over time.Remember, you're capable of so much more than you think! Keep pushing yourself and don't give up on your goals. I remember watching my grandma sew as a kid. I lov I remember watching my grandma sew as a kid. I loved seeing how she could take a piece of fabric and make it into a piece of clothing. She even sewed underwear!I spent hours looking at patterns at the local fabric shop. I’d dream of dresses I would someday make.When I was younger, sewing was a something I did mostly at school (in Home Ec class), because we didn't have a sewing machine at home.Still, whenever I was with my grandma, she let me sew and taught me what she knew.Instead of idling by or goofing off, I was doing something meaningful, creative and productive.When I had my two boys, I used to make overalls and matching shirts for them, and some of the cutest Halloween costumes! After they got older, the hobby fell by the wayside until a few years ago when I caught the handbag-making bug.Sewing has taught me so much about having goals and following through with them. Every time I make a new bag, it feels euphoric, like I just created a masterpiece!Now, I'm always working on a purse, backback, wallet, or tote. I make them for myself, for gifts, and just for fun!What’s your favorite hobby? I’m always looking for new things!
