I don’t like to follow the crowd ❌As a healt I don’t like to follow the crowd ❌As a healthy, fit woman over 50 [60], I hear many people saying it's just too hard to lose weight after menopause, or, you can't really build muscle after 50. 💬But I call B.S. on this negativity and, dare I say it? Misinformation. 👇Instead of looking for the "newest," or "weirdest" new take on fitness, (or giving up altogether) I prefer to stick to tried and true methods that actually WORK. Along with a big dose of mindset stuff.And there are so many benefits in doing so:✔️ You don't drive yourself crazy.
✔️You don't constantly tell yourself you're a failure.
✔️You learn skills that help in all areas of life.

💥“I’m going to put all my energy into this, 💥“I’m going to put all my energy into this, and I’ll probably still fail!”“Now’s not the right time, I have to lose weight first.” 🤦‍♀️Yup. I had those thoughts, too. Fear and self-doubt doesn’t mean you’re weak, it means you're human! We all feel that way at one point or another.✨The good news is, you can turn fear on its head by taking action even when you’re afraid.Do it anyway!Fear is your brain's way of keeping you safe. It's there for a good evolutionary reason, but one that's generally not AS necessary these days (of course it's still necessary if you're about to wander in front of a moving train or bus!)But barring those types of fear, the way I see it, the more afraid you feel, the more you’re probably about to grow! Embrace it. 🍀
😱When I was 51, I made a (very scary to me) decision that changed my life in a huge way!Now 14 years later and my life is so much happier, and healthier than it was back then.If I hadn't stepped out of my "comfort zone," I can't imagine what I'd be doing now. (But yes, I STILL balk at new or different things because of fear -- remember, it's a normal human trait).Decide what you want and take action🔥. Don’t accept any excuses! Take the steps you need and do the work to create the result.Remember, there’s no “right” or “wrong” decision. Let’s talk about losing weight and getting in sh Let’s talk about losing weight and getting in shape when you're over 50. 🙄Many people in the industry believe the ONLY way to lose weight these days (if they even acknowledge it's "okay" to lose weight) is to eat keto, or paleo, or via intermittent fasting, or "intuitive" eating (or something with your hormones, etc). But they’re completely wrong! Here’s why:☝The ONLY way to lose weight is with calorie reduction.
☝There is more than one way to eat fewer calories!
